Karyn established Apostle in 2008 and has over 30 years of experience in the finance sector. She opened the office of Natixis Asset Management Australia in 2000 and introduced a number of their managers to the Institutional market. Previously she was at Rothschild Asset Management and ANZ Treasury. Karyn holds a BA in Business Law and Politics from Macquarie University and has completed her PRI Certification.
Mitch joined Apostle Funds Management in 2017 and works closely with Institutional clients and consultants. In 2019 Mitch did a secondment with Kayne Anderson to work closely with their teams to obtain further knowledge and insight. Prior to joining Apostle, Mitch worked for a Venture Capital firm in New Zealand and a Private Equity group in New York. He holds a Bachelor of Finance and Accounting from Auckland University of Technology and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mitch completed his Responsible Investment certification through the PRI Academy.
Client and Operations Director
Brock joined Apostle Funds Management in 2021. Prior to joining Apostle, Brock worked for two leading Australian investment banks servicing both high-net-worth and institutional clients. He has extensive experience in compliance, risk mitigation, and policy interpretation. Brock is currently completing a Law degree from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Anita brings with her over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Anita started her career at Citigroup as a Sell Side research associate with a focus on ASX REITs. She then moved to Alliance Bernstein as a Buy Side Analyst where she also focused on ASX REITs. In 2006 Anita moved to Fidelity International where she became a Portfolio Manager working with unlisted start-ups and taking them through from pre-funding to listing with an ESG overlay.
Anita has a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from Securities Institute of Australia. Anita has completed her PRI certification.
Daniel Sharp, CFA
Daniel comes to Apostle Funds Management from Microequities Asset Management where he was a Client Relationship Manager. He has over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry across multiple markets and jurisdictions. He has worked for organisations including Macquarie Bank, Mitsubishi and UFJ Trust Bank.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Finance from Charles Sturt and is a CFA® Charterholder. Daniel has also completed his PRI certification.
Joe is an Investment Analyst at Apostle who is responsible for collating, researching and aggregating the data of Apostle’s Fund Managers. He works closely with the Portfolio Manager to assist in constructing and implementing the portfolios.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Chinese from the University of Sydney and his PRI Responsible Investment certification.
Michael is an analyst providing support to the portfolio management team. Before joining Apostle, Michael worked in a variety of investment-related roles, including work at Hamilton Wealth Management and Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University, where he studied Finance and Chinese. Complementing his Chinese studies, Michael studied at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Michael holds his PRI certification.
Non Executive Director of Apostle Funds Management
Claude has extensive financial, taxation and operational experience gained over 35 years as a Chartered Accountant and Finance Executive in public practice and in industry. Claude is an Associate Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a Fellow Member of the Governance Institute of Australia and a Registered Tax Agent with the Australian Taxation Office.
Claude is a Principal of Forsyth GM Chartered Accountants.
Independent Compliance Manager
Kate leads the legal practice for King Irving and specialises in fund creation and operation. Kate has over 30 years’ experience in Financial Services law and senior funds management roles.
In addition to being a Senior Associate at international legal practice Allens, she has been Managing Director of several funds management businesses, including Westpac’s Advance Asset Management. This combined experience gives her a practically informed approach. Kate is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and of the Law Society of New South Wales.
Kate is also a Non-Executive Director of the Australian Payments Network Limited (AusPayNet) and chairs its IAC Issuers and Acquirers Forum. She served as a Non-Executive Director of Netwealth Holdings Limited, where she was a member of the Superannuation Trustee Board and Chair of the Audit Committee.
