Luke is an experienced carbon specialist with over 15 years’ experience working within the energy sector. His expertise in carbon began with Origin Energy, building Australia’s largest industrial customer portfolio in energy and carbon trading.
Luke was the executive director of carbon and power markets at Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) where he was responsible for CBA’s Carbon Emissions trading globally reporting to the executive general manager commodities, trade and carbon. The role involved significant participation in trading across Europe, US and Asia Pacific. Luke brings high volume experience in commodity derivatives trading, with success in leading innovation across weather, gas and carbon derivatives markets. He is responsible for managing Apostle’s Carbon strategies.
Luke holds a Bachelor of Business from the Queensland University of Technology, he is also AFMA accredited and a former member of key industry committees, including the Australian Stock Exchange Energy Markets Committee and AFMA Electricity Markets & Environmental Products Committees.
